The Intersection of Energy, Health, and Finance

The cross-section in human existence between energy, health, and finance is fascinating.

They’re inextricably tied.

Good health relates to, and some could even say is dependant on, finance. People in third-world countries aren’t as healthy because their basics needs aren’t met.

Good financial health starts on a personal level and expands into the family, the local community, the country, and the world.

Our health demands that we find and develop cleaner ways to generate energy. We need to run our world without running ourselves into the ground.

Fossil fuels burn away, both harming us through pollution and climate change. They also deplete themselves and become more and more financially out of reach.

Where we put our mental energy is where our values are

My values are around healthy air, land, and people so that the earth keeps sustaining us and retains its irreplaceable beauty.

clean energy and health

I say leave Mars to the Martians. I’ll take the ol’ green and blue.

Placing a high value on healthy finances means you don’t wake up to your heart beating like bongo drums. Less stress over money frees up your mind to do more and actually enjoy living.

Money flows in the direction of healthy energy options when mental energy flows in the direction of new ways to do this.

Polio used to be a major health problem

I recently watched a talk with Warren Buffet and Bill Gates. They were talking about some of these problems in terms of how the Bill and Linda Gates Foundation is addressing them.

The foundation is currently on a mission to eradicate polio in areas of the Middle East, where it still lingers due to fear of vaccines. Next on their list is Malaria.

So, that got me thinking about how Bill and his wife are able to put this work into solving this health crisis. It isn’t from charitable thoughts and prayers.

They have the financial means to support these operations. If they didn’t have a healthy financial mindset, they wouldn’t be able to to do any of this.

They also talked about the importance of innovating new means of generating cleaner energy.

The connections were always there, but this context really lit them up in my brain. Here’s a link to the Warren Buffet and Bill Gates interview if you want to check it out.

What are your thoughts on health and finance? Do you see how clean energy ties in so closely to these things?
